Rumour:Apple to release iPad2 Plus This Year

2011 looks like the year of the “plus”. While Google has the recently launched Google+ social network, an analyst recently told the International Business Times that Apple might be releasing an iPad 2 refresh later this year, dubbed the “iPad 2 plus”. This new iPad 2 is said to have a higher resolution display (250-300 ppi), an improvement over the iPad 2′s 132-ppi resolution.

Panasonic has announced today the SV-ME970 series which essentially is a new portable 7-inch 1Seg TV that is said to come with an IPX6/IPX7 certified body, which means that it is waterproof. The device reportedly features a new and improved UI that will allow you to use the SV-ME970 not only as a television, but also as a tablet that can be used for surfing the internet, thanks to a dedicated browser that has been built into the device.

Sony Ericsson txt pro CK15a, an entry-level smartphone that will have a sliding QWERTY keyboard in the landscape format. This would make it a whole lot easier to compose your text messages or even modifying documents on the go, without having to frustrate yourself with the virtual keyboard. HTC Sensation now plays nice with AT&T bands

HTC’s latest superphone for the year, the HTC Sensation 4G as it is known on T-Mobile, will also be arriving on AT&T albeit in an unofficial manner, sporting 4G connectivity on that network as well. Just to keep you up to speed, what does the HTC Sensation bring to the table? Rumour:Sony PS4 production to begin at the end of this year

Word on the street has it that Taiwan-based component manufacturers will kick their PlayStation 4 (PS4) production for Sony at the end of this year. Hmmm, this sounds suspiciously like a rumor, since we know that coming out with a new console is going to cost a lot, and the current PS3 is still going strong, and has not even completed the so-called 10 year life cycle as predicted. It is also stated that the upcoming PS4 will boast of body movement-based control which is not too different from that of the Kinect, waiting in the wings to launch next year.
