Amazon To Launch A Tablet Computer This Week

Finally, the wait is over. After the huge success of its Kindle e-reader, Amazon is about to launch another Tablet computer very soon. If sources are to be believed, it is expected that the Tablet will be released this Wednesday. And what is more, even before its release, it is being called as ‘the iPad killer’ by many tech experts.

Apple Vs. Samsung: A Never Ending War

Apple and Samsung are in the news again. But let me tell you that they are not in the news for any release of their products. Once again, both these tech giants have gone to court to ask for a ban of the other’s products. Apple has gone to the court in Sydney and Samsung has gone to the court in Netherlands.

Apple claims that Samsung has deliberately copied the design of its iPhone and the iPad while Samsung has sued Apple over the patent infringement over the 3G technology used in the iPhone and the iPad. Many of the experts predicted some weeks before that these companies are working on a settlement but on the contrary, it seems that they are on the verge of an open war.

Remembering the Muppets – A Jim Henson tribute doodle.

Today’s Google paid tribute to James Maury “Jim” Henson(September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990), one of the greatest puppeteers of all time and the creator of the popular Muppets with a doodle featuring a series of digital puppets shaped in the form of the company logo (The second ‘g’ is nice). The muppets also reflect the Google's logo colors

Mr. Henson would have been 75 years of age on Saturday had he been alive. He is best known for ‘The Muppets’ and memorable shows such as Sesame Street, The Muppet Show and films such as The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper.

The Henson doodle features six digital muppets in the shape and colour of the Google logo that respond to a mouse over as ‘real’ muppets would.

Timelline Profile Lets You Know Who Has Unfriended You

Now, with the new Timeline Profiles, you can see who has unfriended you on Facebook. Earlier, there were only two ways to tell whether a person had ‘unfriended’ you or not; one was to use some apps and the other one was to visit the Facebook profile of the person and check whether you have access to their personal details like photos, wall posts etc.

The use of apps for this purpose was very limited as Facebook would remove any app which would claim to find out the person who has unfriended you. But now the Timeline Profile enables you to find out who has removed you as a friend on Facebook.
