“Let it snow” & Google snowed it.

Google has now come up with another pleasant surprise. Stop whatever you are doing and and check the Google homepage. Type in the words “Let it snow” in the search box and Google will surprise you.

As you type, you will find snowflakes falling in your browser. Snowflakes will fall from the top of your screen and slowly cover Google’s search results.

Let it snow for a few seconds and you will find your browser filing up with snow. Once your browser turns into a frozen lake, you can move around with your mouse. In other words, you can click and move your mouse to manually brush off some of the accumulated snowflakes.

Google's home page now...

To get a clear screen, just simply click the ‘defrost’ button that appears in place of the usual blue magnifying glass search button.

This gag is the latest in a long line of Google easter eggs. Recently another easter egg – “do a barrel roll” – became popular, completely rotating Google’s search results.
