HTC Flyer did not receive a larger display for you to play Angry Birds or Cut the Rope with, but you will be able to get away with a free Scribe pen in the latest HTC Flyer bundle. Makes me wonder just how folks who purchased the Flyer with the Scribe pen accessory for $80 before this feel.
Guess you can look at the latest 16GB Wi-Fi tablet’s $500 price tag as a $80 discount on the Flyer, while forking out the full amount for the Scribe pen, or see the latter as being free. It must be said that in different markets like Europe, the Scribe pen was already thrown into the mix right from the get go – albeit at a higher overall average price.
There was no official statement given concerning this quiet addition, but chances are quite high this was done in order to provide a boost to its flagging sales figures. This isn’t an iPad 2 after all, and we have no clue on just how long this “promotion” will continue.
